in You

Tonight I have seen You and I found that I’d been wrong,

but there’s this fire that’s inside of me that's turned this up and on,

and the talk and all the stories that I did not understand came alive and leaped inside of me and showed me what I can.

Now the pain I always thought was there has never been so small,

See, it’s hard for me to look at the past and even care at all,

and the light I always thought was there has never been more real

I can feel You down inside of me and I know You feel me too.

Your love that moves around me is the push that moves me on,

And though all the good things I have felt, I have never felt this strong,

Any lack or mistake or downfall all just washes away at once,

And the glow that lifts my hands up high feels the touch of Your open arms,

Now I’m face to face with You, Lord, and I can touch what I can be,

And the tear that slides along my face is Your forgiveness given me,

As my arms stretch out and my head goes back, all Your strength it gets inside,

See, I have never seen my life this clear and I have never been this alive,

Now You want me right here, right now moving in the Word I’m breathing in

and no past mistake or silly choice that I have made could ruin this,

and Your love for me and Your want for me is so huge I reach for You.

I can feel Your arms embracing me and I know, You feel me, too.
