Keep hold of Me when darkness falls
When you're in despair, the Devil calls...
To take his hand - to leave m y side
But I reach for you - My arms stretch wide.
I give you hope, I give you love
Keep Hold - I'll take you above
And you shall overcome what was brought to you
Believe in Me, I'll get you through.
And step by step, I'll walk you on
To that comfort, to peace, that place beyond
This world and the troubles that surround
Just keep hold and hear the sound
Of My voice, where I'm leading you
These burdens, this pain, I'll get you through
For I shall never give you what you cannot bear
Open your eyes and see.. I am there.
The devil will tempt your soul
On and on.. he'll play the role
Of being a friend, being a brother
But with Me.. you need no other.
So this life, this world which you live
Compared to Me - has nothing to give
For I am the Way, The Truth, and The Life
You can only go through Me - Jesus Christ
For I am the Son of God, I am the King
All I ask is you to leave everything
Behind you, and follow me strong and bold
And I will deliver you... just keep hold.
