Sweet Whimsies

Today, I drank lemonade
Out of a teacup
Just because I could
And parted my hair on the "wrong" side.
I spat out my "Bazooka" while it was still sweet
And waited till the 4th ring of the phone to pick up.
I wore my socks inside out
Because I liked the pattern better
And sat on the kitchen counter for no particular reason.
I thought to myself, this must be what celery salt and paprika face all day
So, I rearranged all my spices
For a fresher point of view
And wondered if basil resents its name.
