Saved

When the lights came on, life began

I went from being held in arms to just holding hands

I went from being fed to feeding myself

I went from being healthy to worrying about my health

I went from taking an inch to jumping a yard

Tried cruising down Easy then crashed real hard

The lights are flickering off and on

and so is life

The lights are on again

So life continues

I went from being held in arms and just holding hands

to just holding a finger really tight, not quite letting go

Still feeding myself, still worrying about my health, still jumping yards, still cruising down Easy, then again crashed real hard

The lights began to flicker again

Off, then on, off, then…

Please turn the lights back on

Please forgive me, I want another chance

I want to be held in Your arms

I want to put it all in Your hands

I want You to feed me so I don’t have to worry about my health

I’ll stop jumping unnecessary yards,

won’t cruise down Easy, unless You’re driving the car

I don’t want to crash anymore

I want You in my life

Please keep the lights on
